Creative Threads- Kids Fiber Night
Pom poms, weaving, embroidery, oh my?! There are so many fun and creative ways to explore the beautiful world of fiber arts. Every month there will be a new fun kid friendly project exploring all the creative ways kids can use yarn and fabric to make their lives more colorful.
While learning about centuries old fiber arts the instruction will also be infused with the values of sustainability, personal expression, and creativity.
This months project – potholder weaving. In this session kids will learn to create their own cardboard loom and weave a 4×4 inch potholder or coaster. They will get to choose their own color and will be shown step by step how to weave.
Recommend ages: 8 through 15
