Join the Montgomery County Veterans Coalition for our monthly convening of veteran-serving organizations and community partners. This structured meeting is designed to strengthen coordination, share updates, and identify solutions that support veterans and their families locally.

Agenda items may include service updates, data snapshots, emerging needs, and relevant policy developments impacting the veteran community.

MCVC meetings are nonpartisan, solution-focused, and guided by our dignity-and-respect engagement standards.

MCVC Meeting Participation Guidelines

To ensure a respectful, mission-focused environment, all MCVC meetings operate under the following participation guidelines:

Nonpartisan Commitment- MCVC is a strictly nonpartisan organization.

  • Meetings are not campaign events or partisan forums.
  • Advocacy for veterans’ issues is welcome.
  • Partisan attacks, political endorsements, or campaign-related messaging are not permitted within Coalition meetings or chat functions.

 

Purpose of Monthly Meetings- Monthly sessions are structured working meetings that may include:

  • Legislative or policy briefings
  • Program updates
  • Partner coordination
  • Resource sharing
  • Designated Q&A periods

Meetings are not town halls unless explicitly announced as such.

 

Dignity and Respect Standard- All participants are expected to:

  • Engage respectfully with speakers and attendees
  • Avoid personal attacks or inflammatory language
  • Focus comments on veteran-related policy, services, or solutions
  • Maintain professionalism in both verbal discussion and chat features

This standard applies equally to all participants, regardless of viewpoint, affiliation, or background.

 

Moderation of Discussion- To maintain structure and mission alignment:

  • Chat and discussion may be moderated.
  • Comments outside the scope of the meeting format may not be elevated.
  • Moderation decisions are procedural, not personal.
  • Repeated disruption may result in removal from the session.

 

Constructive Engagement- MCVC welcomes diverse perspectives and encourages:

  • Participation during designated Q&A periods
  • Direct follow-up with Coalition leadership
  • Collaboration on solutions benefiting veterans

Our shared mission is to serve veterans and their families with integrity, professionalism, and unity of purpose.

MCVC reserves the right to moderate discussion to maintain alignment with the Coalition’s mission and meeting format.
