Veteran’s Day on the Hill

Early each February, TNVET organizes and conducts “Veterans Day On The Hill” in the Cordell Hull State Office Building in Nashville.  This building houses all state legislator offices and meeting facilities. In 2022, the event will happen on Wednesday, Feb 2nd.

Any veteran may attend (this includes veterans who may not be a member of ANY state veteran organization or those whose veteran organization has not joined TNVET), although we cap the number attending at 250 due to facility constraints.

However, while this event is to give veterans the opportunity to meet their state legislators and learn how their state government works, the primary purpose of this day is to support and advocate for the legislative bills that the TNVET member organizations have formulated and approved for the 2022 Tennessee Legislative session.  The 2022 TNVET legislative agenda items are available for your review under the “Legislators and Legislation” tab of this website.  Select subtab “2022 Legislation” to read about the four sponsored bills.

You will have to sign up so that we have a headcount for planning and check-in purposes.  You may sign in below (the sign-in portal for the 2022 event IS NOW OPEN and will close at noon (1200hrs) Jan 26, 2022.
