About

The mission of the Veterans Upward Bound Program is to inspire confidence, explore educational options, and create individual success plans towards academic and career goals. We also link adult veteran learners to resources that lead to higher education enrollment and continuous quality of life. The VUB is a free program with no associated fees. Service and materials are provided to help Veterans achieve their pre-college educational goals. We provide services such as admission application assistance, educational counseling, financial aid assistance, computer and study skills, cultural events, college campus visits/tours, Instructional tutoring/self-directed study guide, and referral to other community agencies serving Veterans.

Eligibility: - Veterans with at least 180 days of active-duty service or qualifying reserve time -Veterans with fewer than 180 days of active-duty may also qualify - Veterans with any discharge other than dishonorable -Veterans not currently enrolled in college or have not earned a four-year degree -Must be a first generation college student -Meet low-income federal guidelines

Contact our office at ( 931) 221-7600 or visit us at https://www.apsu.edu/vub/ Please bring a copy of your DD214, most recent IRS Tax Return, if applicable Fill out application on website and submit electronically or the application can be filled out at your initial intake
